Spiritual Direction

In this workshop, we hope to introduce you to spiritual direction, also called spiritual accompaniment or spiritual companioning. We will share with you what SD is, and what it is not (as that word direction in spiritual direction can be misleading). We also hope you will get to experience a bit of spiritual direction in this time. You will hear firsthand experiences of giving and receiving spiritual direction, as well as hear about the training program, the school of spiritual direction. You will get to hear about next steps for signing up for a Dutch/English hybrid school if you feel God drawing you to do this!

In deze workshop hopen we je kennis te laten maken met spirituele begeleiding, ook wel spirituele richting of spirituele companioning genoemd. We zullen met je delen wat SD is en wat het niet is (omdat het woord begeleiding in spirituele begeleiding misleidend kan zijn). We hopen ook dat je in deze tijd een beetje spirituele begeleiding zult ervaren. Je zult ervaringen uit de eerste hand horen over het geven en ontvangen van spirituele begeleiding, en je zult horen over het trainingsprogramma, de school voor spirituele begeleiding. Je zult horen over de volgende stappen voor het aanmelden voor een Nederlands/Engels hybride school als je voelt dat God je hiertoe trekt!

Cultuur Verschillen

Wij Belgen en Nederlanders spreken (ongeveer) dezelfde taal - maar horen soms/vaak iets anders, en luisteren ook anders. En dat leidt tot verschillen in wat we doen, zeggen, zien, horen .... Het gevaar is dat we onze eigen referentiekaders projecteren op die ander, maar dat werkt niet goed en kan leiden tot misverstanden, frustraties ....
Onze achtergrond, onze cultuur, opvoeding, tradities ... zijn anders. Vaak zijn we ons niet bewust van deze verschillen, maar dit is wel belangrijk als we samen een kerkfamilie willen zijn in de Vineyard Benelux. Dan hebben we het nog niet gehad over Wallonië en Luxemburg. Daar spreken ze ook echt een andere taal.
In deze workshop denken we samen na wat dit betekent voor Vineyard Benelux, wat bindt ons, waar zijn we verrassend anders in, wat betekent dat in de praktijk ... En hoe gaan we daarmee om.

Calling all worship people!

We'll have a mini conference inside the conference with just people that are involved with worship in our churches. For this we have invited Jon Solway, Director of Worship Development for Vineyard Churches UK & Ireland, to come over and share with us.
On Friday we'll have lunch together to connect and network. After that we'll use the whole afternoon to worship, pray, listen and talk with each other about why we do what we do. In this age of loud mega churches writing all the good songs, is there a place for us as a Vineyard? What is it that God has given us as a family in regard to worship? Jon will remind us about our history and look to the future as to how we can steward what has been given to us faithfully in an authentic way to our culture.
